First melt the high-quality steel block, wool and steel chips, and then throw the molten steel into the water by high-speed centrifugal forming with centrifugal disc, so that the surface temperature of the steel shot drops sharply to form the shot body, which is a quenching. The shot body after primary quenching is dried and reheated and tempered in the furnace to achieve applicable hardness. The excellent heat treatment control process gives the steel shot the best elasticity and fatigue resistance. The steel shot with different particle size and hardness is suitable for different processes, such as shot peening strengthening of large quantities and heavy parts or materials.

Steel shot is widely used for descaling and derusting of steel workpieces before coating. In this case, centrifugal shot blasting equipment is often used. The ball shape and small hardness make the steel shot not cause great wear to the equipment.
