Proper sandblasting working distance can reduce unnecessary losses: when sandblasting, being close to the machined surface of your component may not bring good results. And it wastes media (sand material). This is because the size of the working distance reduces the size of the sandblasting operation area, increases cycle time, and can easily crush the media (sand material), reducing its lifespan. This idea is somewhere in between, achieving a balance between your sand material wear rate and rate. Hand controlled suction and injection system, ranging from six to eight inches. When using direct injection system pressure, you should be 10 to 14 inches away. Please also remember that the closer you are to thin parts, the easier it is to cause them to warp, regardless of the sandblasting medium (sand material) you use. In addition to finding a suitable distance, avoid deformation of the sandblasting area.

What is the reason for inconsistent roughness in Dalian sandblasting processing
(1) The walking speed of the spray gun is unstable during sandblasting processing.
When the walking speed of the spray gun is slower and the walking speed is faster, the sand sprayed by the two is the same per unit time, but the distribution area of the sand is smaller in the former and larger in the latter. Due to the same amount of sand distributed on different surfaces, there will inevitably be a phenomenon of varying density.
(2) The air pressure is unstable during operation.
When an air compressor is used for multiple spray guns, the air pressure is difficult to stabilize. When the air pressure is high, more sand is sucked in and sprayed out, while when the air pressure is low, the opposite is true, meaning that the amount of sand sucked in and sprayed out is less. If there is a large amount of sand sprayed, the sand surface will definitely appear dense, while if there is a small amount of sand sprayed, the sand surface will definitely be sparse.
(3) The difference between the nozzle and the surface of the workpiece is too large.
When the nozzle of the spray gun is close to the surface of the workpiece, although the spraying range is small, it is relatively concentrated and appears dense. When the muzzle is far from the surface of the workpiece, although there is still so much sand sprayed, the area sprayed expands, and it will appear sparse at this time.
The process of treatment refers to the treatment of the surface of the workpiece before spraying or plating a protective layer. The quality of the treatment affects the adhesion, appearance, moisture resistance, and corrosion resistance of the coating. Before sandblasting treatment, if the treatment work is not done well, corrosion will continue to spread under the coating, which will cause the coating to fall off in pieces. After careful cleaning of the surface of the workpiece, its lifespan has greatly increased, with a difference of 4-5 times the service life.
