Machining principle of fast and slow wire cutting

Dalian fast and slow wire cutting principle: the principle of wire cutting is to use the wire storage cylinder, upper and lower frames to make the molybdenum wire reciprocating at high speed. The upper and lower wire frames have bearings and guide wheels to control the vertical precision and linearity of the molybdenum wire. The workpiece acts on the upper and lower wire frames and is supported by two backing plates. The pulse power supply brings the molybdenum wire and the workpiece with positive and negative electricity respectively, and melts and vaporizes the metal through high temperature generated by discharge, Thus, the redundant part of the workpiece is cut off according to the predetermined track to obtain the welded pipe die structure we need. Wire cutting processing is divided into fast wire walking and slow wire walking. Fast wire walking has low machining precision, low cost, high cost and high machining precision.


Due to the improvement of WEDM technology, a CAD / CAM system from graphic input to machining process has been formed, which realizes the automation of WEDM. In the production process, complex shapes, planes and geometric contours can be cut out. In many complex welded pipe mold cavities, sharp corners and corner cleaning often appear, which is difficult to realize in machining. If it is through hole and through hole with small taper, this problem can be easily solved by wire cutting process. Because the positive and negative electrode discharge can produce a temperature of more than 10000 ℃ at the machining point, various metal objects can be melted within this temperature range. Therefore, it can process all kinds of high hardness metals, such as quenched tool steel, cemented carbide, polycrystalline diamond and so on.


In Dalian fast and slow wire cutting die, optimizing the wire route of electrode wire is conducive to improve the cutting quality and shorten the processing time. Therefore, in the wire route programming, it should be comprehensively analyzed according to the size, shape and accuracy requirements of the workpiece, the size of the discharge gap of the electrode wire and the gap of the concave convex die, and in combination with the following points:


① In general, the wire routing shall be arranged in the cutting process of parts as far as possible and kept in the same coordinate system with the support frame of clamping parts to ensure the accuracy of positioning;


② The starting point of the wire route shall be arranged to cut along the direction away from the part fixture, and finally turn to the direction of the fixture, and the separation cutting shall be arranged at the end of the wire route;


③ In the cutting process, the corner (or sharp corner) of some welded pipe molds is prone to collapse (or rounding), and the wire route and process parameters should be properly trimmed according to the specific situation;


④ For some welded pipe dies with high precision requirements, in order to reduce deformation, improve the metamorphic layer on the machined surface of welded pipe die and improve the service life of welded pipe die.


⑤ Due to the diameter of electrode wire and discharge gap, a high line protruding from the cutting surface sometimes appears at the junction of the cutting surface of welded pipe die. During cutting, the cutting route shall be reasonably selected according to the structure of the welded pipe die, so as to avoid bulge in the processing process as far as possible.
