It is widely used in large shipyards, heavy machinery factories, automobile factories, etc. The surface treatment with shot peening has great striking force and obvious cleaning effect. However, the treatment of thin plate workpiece by shot peening is easy to deform the workpiece, and the steel shot strikes the workpiece surface (whether shot blasting or shot peening) to deform the metal substrate. Because Fe3O4 and Fe2O3 are not plastic, they are stripped after crushing, and the oil film is deformed together with the substrate, so shot blasting and shot peening cannot completely remove the oil stain on the workpiece with oil stain.

Sand blasting is a method that uses compressed air to blow out quartz sand at high speed to clean the surface of parts. It is also called sand blowing in the factory. It can not only remove rust, but also remove oil. It is very useful for coating. It is often used for rust removal on the surface of parts; Surface modification of parts (this is the purpose of small wet sand blasting machine sold in the market. The sand is usually corundum and the medium is water); In the steel structure, the application of high-strength bolts for connection in Dalian sand blasting is an advanced method. Because the high-strength connection uses the friction between the joint surfaces to transfer the force, the quality requirements of the joint surface are very high. At this time, the joint surface must be treated by sand blasting.

Shot blasting uses high-pressure air or compressed air as power, while shot blasting is generally shot out of steel sand at high speed by a high-speed rotating flywheel. Shot blasting has high efficiency, but there will be dead corners, while shot blasting is more flexible, but the power consumption is large.
