Dalian assembly line sandblasting workers use purified compressed air, dry sand flow or other abrasive particles to spray onto the surface of aluminum products, so as to remove surface defects and present a uniform matte sand surface. Abrasives generally use refined steel sand, alumina particles, glass beads or stainless steel sand. Steel abrasive particles are not used because they are easy to be embedded in aluminum matrix for rust and corrosion. The surface state obtained after sandblasting depends on the type and particle size of abrasive, air pressure, impact angle, distance between nozzle and workpiece, sandblasting method, etc.

The sand selected for derusting by sand blasting machine shall be hard, angular, dry (water content < 2%), free of oil, soil and other impurities; Quartz sand is better, and coarse river sand can also be used; At the same time, factors such as sand transportation conditions, unit price concave convex, recovery capacity and so on should be considered;

The sand particle size should be 0.5 ~ 1.5mm. It must be dried before screening and stored in the shed and indoor. The size of the screen hole is: coarse screen 40-48 holes / cm2 (particle size 1.2mm), fine screen 372 ~ 476 holes / cm2 (particle size 0.3mm). After the rust removal scheme is determined, the abrasives can be river sand, quartz sand or their inclusions, which can be mixed and used according to 1:1.

Different from the traditional sanding method, sandblasting usually refers to spraying abrasive by releasing compressed air, so that the abrasive can be sprayed evenly onto the workpiece surface to achieve the effect of grinding and sanding. Due to the use of machinery and equipment to spray abrasive, the grinding process will be more controllable, and the sanding effect will be more comprehensive, uniform and detailed.

As sand blasting can control the pressure of gas and the fineness of abrasive, the equipment contains multiple groups of nozzles to complete multi angle processing, so the processing efficiency is higher and the scope of application is wider. Sand blasting can remove the traces and burrs on the surface of solid wood furniture, with relatively less manual participation and smooth grinding surface.
